Descrizione

Description:  Chinese small quartz snuff bottle, painted with a mountain and a lake landscape. The quartz has an intentional frozen looking surface and the combination of the curves of the outer shape and that of the inner hollowing are acting like a lens, magnifying the small inner painting.

Material:  Quartz.

Size:  55 mm high

Provenance:  Antiquarian market

References:

Notes:  Based on the inscription, it is painted by Zhang Baotian (張葆田), eighth month (壮月), 1892. But most certainly it is a false inscription and the bottle is later.
