W25 A rare Guan-type Cong vase, 18th Century

Descrizione

Description:   A Chinese Guan-type glazed Cong vase. The fat, unctuous glazing of this heavily potted Cong shaped vase is particularly well succeeded, with large areas encircled by the primary crackling, a sort of wide mesh net. This quality and the dark brown-dressed foot are especially associated to the Qianlong period.

Dating:  Qianlong, 18^th century.

Size:  25 cm high
